Artist Mike Hendley WILL GIVE A WORKSHOP
exploring textures in nature using graphite pencil:

Mike will do a demonstration of how to recreate some common textures found in nature with a pencil and a few simple tools. The demonstration will be followed by a short Q&A session. All you will need is a pencil (HB is fine but 2B is ideal), paper (any size), smudging tool (q-tip/Kleenex/chamois/tortillon) and an eraser. The paper should be smooth (vellum/Bristol/hot press) vs. textured cold press paper which used with watercolor. Yes, printer paper would suffice :-)
